Shaurya Sahay is an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India and the founder of the Chambers of Shaurya Sahay — a full-service independent chambers handling litigation, commercial arbitration, and regulatory advisory work across every major forum in the country.
Over eleven years of practice, the chambers has developed deep expertise across commercial arbitrations, civil and criminal appellate work, constitutional litigation, education and medical education law, land acquisition, service disputes, and policy advisory — representing private clients, corporations, and State governments with equal rigour.
Shaurya has appeared before several High Courts along with the National Green Tribunal, the Central Administrative Tribunal, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, and the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission. He graduated from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow (B.A. LL.B., Hons., 2014).
Shaurya commenced practice under Mr. Amit Kumar, Senior Advocate, where he worked on constitutional and commercial matters before the Supreme Court of India. Mr. Kumar presently serves as the Advocate General for the State of Meghalaya, and the chambers' practice and ethos draws greatly from the experiences gained at Mr. Kumar's chambers.

The chambers emphasises thorough preparation, early identification of the decisive legal issue, and focused advocacy — whether the matter is an SLP admission hearing on a Monday morning or a multi-crore commercial arbitration spanning months. We invest heavily in understanding each client's sector and commercial reality, because a legal argument disconnected from practical outcomes serves no one.

Shaurya Sahay
Founder & Advocate on Record
Shaurya leads the chambers with a practice that spans the full breadth of Supreme Court litigation, commercial arbitration, and regulatory advisory work. He is Standing Counsel for the State of Uttar Pradesh and has been Panel Counsel for the Government of Meghalaya since 2018.
His private practice encompasses commercial disputes, education law, land acquisition, criminal appeals, and constitutional matters. He is empanelled with THDC India Limited, NEEPCO, and the Lucknow Development Authority for arbitration and infrastructure litigation.
An alumnus of RMLNLU, Lucknow (2014), Shaurya regularly contributes to Bar & Bench, Live Law, and SCC Online Blog, and engages actively in legal academics.
